Rajasthan has a history of giving the power between BJP and Congress on the alternate terms. BJP led gov is currently ruling the Rajasthan state and if history is going to repeat then Congress can win the Rajasthan assembly elections 2018 and this will give a big jolt to BJP just before General elections 2019. According to latest ABP news & C voter survey BJP will only get 57 seats in upcoming Rajasthan elections 2018, which had won 163 seats in Rajasthan elections 2013. The tenure of the BJP government in Rajasthan ends on January 20, 2019. The tentative date for the elections has been decided in December 2018. All latest Rajasthan election surveys are showing a win for the Congress but Modi has yet to rally in Rajasthan which might be a game changer for BJP. Also based on Times now survery around 35% people are not happy with the performance of CM Vashundhara Raje.

Earlier this year, Rajasthan bye-poll elections result were also not in favour of BJP. Congress defeted BJP on Mandalgarh, Ajmer and Alwar Lok Sabha seats of Rajasthan. Overall, Congress won two parliamentary seats and one Assembly seat, defeating the ruling party with a huge margin. This has boosted the morale of Congress before the Lok sabha elections 2019.

Furthermore, Rajput groups are not happy with the Vasundhara Raje’s government and rajput groups are doing movements across the states to not to vote the BJP in the  Rajasthan Elections 2018. This may increase the worrisome for BJP, as BJP could not form the government in Karnataka and now if Rajasthan goes from its hand, 2019 election might not be a cakewalk for BJP as it was looking. A win in Rajasthan will take Congress a step closer to the 2019 elections.

In Ajmer, Raghu Sharma of the Congress won 391,754 votes while BJP’s Ram Swaroop Lamba could only manage to win 313,706 votes. In Alwar, Karan Singh Yadav of Congress defeated Jaswant Singh Yadav of BJP by 1,56,319 votes.

On the other hand, it has become a worrying situation for BJP. As BJP has continuously lost the bye-poll elections in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Prades, and Rajasthan. Before 2019 elections, MP and Rajasthan are going for polls and results of Rajasthan assembly elections and Madhya Pradesh assembly election will play a huge role in 2019.

The Rajasthan assembly election will be held for 200 seats. In the previous elections, Bharatiya Janata Party won a total of 163 seats which was 84 seats more than what they won in the elections before that. While Congress could manage to win only 21 seats, which was 75 seats less than what they won in the elections prior to that.
